The results from day 7 of TFWC2014 are available on the 'Fixtures and results' page and the group tables have been updated.
With Switzerland and France having rearranged their fixture for a mutually-convenient time, the only Group E fixture on Friday saw a tight encounter between Ecuador and Honduras. Honduras (CRL) eventually prevailed to move top of the group, although their place in the last 16 is not yet guaranteed. Ecuador (Liverpool BID Company) must now win their final group match to stand any chance of progressing.
In Group G, Iran (Sutcliffe) posted an impressive victory over Argentina (Keppie Massie), who had themselves looked so good in their opening game) and must now be considered serious contenders.
